I am teaching both Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 this year, and am enjoying the opportunity to share the Language and Culture with my students.
I am now in my 14th year of teaching here at LCHS. I have taught Spanish for 17 years now, and love to see my students grow as their Speaking skills develop throughout the year.
My BA is in Anthropology and Spanish with a minor in Dance from The American University in Washington, DC.
My MS is in Education from The University of New Haven, in New Haven, CT.
I hold teaching credentials in both Spanish and Social Science.
After moving to California from Connecticut, I completed additional coursework in Spanish at Cal State LA to further my knowledge of both the Spanish Language and Literature.
When I am not at LCHS, I am usually spending time with my family. My husband Richard and I have lived in Eagle Rock for 15 years, and we have 2 children, Ava (10) and Harlan (6). We spend our time together taking hikes, camping, going to the beach, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, hanging out at the library, socializing with friends or just relaxing at home. We have a dog, named Pepper who is very silly and loves to take hikes too. She is a Border collie/Queensland Heeler mix, and can outrun any other dog we have seen. We love to travel to visit friends and family whenever we can.
